All matches were played at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin. The games were historic as they were the first ever played in an International Standard 50 metre pool in Ireland, with St. Vincent’s 11-6 victory over Sandycove at the National Aquatic Centre being the first ever game at that Standard in Ireland. Recap 2018-19

UCD Krakens finished fourth in the 2018-19 Irish Underwater Hockey League after an epic season-long duel with Cork / UL for third place. Having defeated Queen’s University / Belfast in Round 1 and lost to DCU / Vikings and also Dublin Otters, UCD found themselves in third place following a 1-0 victory over Cork / UL. They lost all games in Round 2, however, with the exception of the Belfast game, including a 0-1 loss to Cork / UL. which left them in fourth because Cork / UL had drawn with Otters in Round 1. Results went much the same in Round 3, with the Krakens losing all games bar a victory over Belfast. In Round 4 UCD shocked Champions-elect DCU / Vikings, winning 2-1, and drew with Cork / UL 2-2. With the other two games cancelled because Otters and Queen’s University could not compete on the day, UCD Krakens finished in fourth place, a point behind Cork / UL. / Reference: [2-6]
